Court, Book A, Folio 39: On Sep 24, 1794 a deed was signed by John and Catherine Overstreet for consideration of 200 Pounds, conveys to Stephen Johnson property as follows: "tract of land containing 200 acres in Screven Co GA bounded on south by Great Ogeechee River Swamp, east by lands of Stephen Johnson, and west by land of Samuel Scarborough, originally granted to Henry O, Aug. 6, 1765." This deed was witnessed by Daniel Overstreet, Braswell Overstreet, Sarah Canmah, and Charity Mulkey. |
