George (0Research) Turner

Note, this George is not the son of John Turner of Isle of Wight Co VA.

George Turner was born in about 1695, reportedly in Virginia. Sometime before 1720 George migrated to what was then Chowan Co NC.

In about 1720 in Chowan Co NC, George married Elinor Turner b. 1699. George and Elinor lived the remainder of their lives in what would become Halifax Co NC. George lived to be 78 and Elinor is believed to have lived to 80 years, dying in 1779.

George Turner left will naming wife Eleanor and sons James and Nelson and daughter Elizabeth Mason with her children Turner Mason, Thomas Mason, Susanne Lawrence, George Turner, son of Nathan, Lucy Turner, daughter in law. He gives looking glass to Lucy from her father's estate.
