Joanna (1Christopher) Kilbee of Middlesex Co VA

Joanna Kilbee was born  1668 in Lancaster (now Middlesex) Co VA. And, the family attended Christ Church Parish of Middlesex Co VA.

In 1689 Joanna married James Lewis b. 1664 Lancaster (now Middlesex) Co VA. James and Joanna lived the remainder of their lives on the family property at Sunderland Creek. James died in 1720 and left a will naming his four sons.

Middlesex Co VA Order Book 5 (1710-1726), p. 244:
3 Jan 1718. Catherine Kilbee, daughter of William Kilbee, decd., has James Lewis as guardian. Sec: Christopher Kilbee.

The Parish Register of Christ Church, Middlesex Co VA (1653-1812), p. 176:
James Lewis dyed May ye 10 & was buried May ye 12 1720.
Middlesex Co VA Order Book 5 (1710-1726), p. 248:
7 Jun 1720. Will of James Lewis, decd, presented by Johanna Lewis, executrix.

Middlesex Co VA Will Book (1713-1734), p.p. 134-35:
The will of James Lewis of Middlesex Co VA.
Written Sept. 13, 1715. Recorded 6/7/1720.
Named wife Joanna, children James, Edmund, Zebulon, "Jasewa" (Joshua), with Jasewa and Zebulon being under 21.
Witness: John Sanders, George Wortham.
Inventory mentions money paid by John Jones, Mr. Vicarus, Mr. Thomas Read, and Capt. Digges.
