Retirement Jun 1996:
Just prior to retirement, my wife was invited by Gen
Hickey's wife to a conference. The fete was held at the 4th
Infantry Division's Assistant Division Commander's home on Ft. Hood, and
I went as Rosie's escort. While there, I was asked by a retired
Lieutenant Colonel if I would miss the Army. My response was, "I will
miss the Army everyday for the rest of my life." And ever since
retirement, this has been true. My Home
