Generation #2

Edward (1Thomas) Graham of Virginia

Edward Graham was born in about 1675, probably in Old Rappahannock Co VA. In 1692 Rappahannock County split into Richmond and Essex Counties and Rappahannock was dissolved.

In about 1700 in Richmond Co VA, Edward married Patience b. c. 1680. Some speculate that Patience's name was Stafford; as she named one of her sons, Stafford Graham. Edward and Patience's life in Richmond County is documented by the Christening of son Edward, Jr. at North Farnham Parish.

In 1724, Edward received grants of land along Broad Run in Stafford County (now Fairfax County). What we know of Edward's family comes from his 1749 will in Fairfax Co VA where he lists wife Patience and twelve children.
