Lydia (4James Simeon, 3James, 2William II, 1William) Lewis of South Carolina
There is no proof that Lydia's last name was Lewis. However, there are reports of land transactions in South Carolina connecting the Hutto and Lewis families. And, the Christian names Lydia, Simeon, Thomas, Alexander, and Galloway appear in the James Simeon Lewis family. The following is my current hypothesis:
Lydia Lewis was born in about 1785 in New Hanover Co NC. In about 1800 probably in South Carolina, Lydia married Jacob Hutto b. 1773 Orangeburg Co SC.
The Lydia who married Jacob Hutto immigrated between 1816 and 1819 with her family to Wayne Co MS. Lydia last appears in the 1840 Wayne Co MS Census where she is recorded as Head of Household. Living with her are four sons and two daughters. Lydia's date of death and place of burial are not known.

Migrated c. 1790 with family to Robeson Co NC
Married c. 1800 in South Carolina to Jacob Hutto b. 1773 Orangeburg Co SC
