Elizabeth Mason was married 6/25/1826, probably in Conecuh Co AL, to William Granville Campbell b. 10/2/1799 in Edgefield Co SC. William and Elizabeth first appear in the 1830 Conecuh Co AL Census with several children. And before 1840, the family migrated up the Conecuh River to Covington Co AL.
William and Elizabeth lived out their lives on the family farm in Covington County near Rome AL and are buried in the Campbell Family Cemetery on the family farm.
Adeline Campbell, Elizabeth's granddaughter, had a portrait of Elizabeth. Reportedly, Elizabeth resembled an Indian.
