George (2Johann Gottfried, 1Rudolph) Wilkin
George Wilkin was born in about 1752 in Philadelphia Co PA. In 9/1756 George migrated with his family to Frederick (now Shenandoah) Co VA. [Wilkin Migration Map]
On 1/30/1775 in Dunmore (now Shenandoah) Co VA, George first married Barbara Fravel b. 1/24/1757 Frederick Co VA. Evidence in part comes from the many members of the Fravel Family who purchased items from the Wilkin Family Estate in 1822.
George migrated before 6/1789 to Hardy Co (W) VA where Barbara died. Later in 1789 in Hardy Co (W) VA, George married Lydia Wise b. c. 1767 Frederick Co MD. George and Lydia are found enumerated in the 1820 Hardy Co VA Census. And both are listed as over forty-five years old.
George died before 2/1822 at Lost River, Hardy Co (W) VA.
