Thomas (1Edmond) Brannock of Delaware
Thomas Brannock was born 1675 in Dorchester Co MD. Proof of Thomas' date of birth comes from a 1743 Dorchester Co MD land grant.
In about 1710 in Dorchester Co MD, Thomas married an unknown spouse with whom he had his children. Evidently, this first wife died before 1730. In about 6/1730 in Dorchester Co MD, Thomas married Frances Willis Newton b. 8/7/1688 in Dorchester Co MD. Frances was the widow of Edward Newton and mother of daughter-in-law, Alice Newton.
The Brannock Family lived their lives in what they thought was Maryland; as the family births, marriages, and wills along with land transactions and court proceedings were recorded in Dorchester Co MD. However after the 1775 Delaware/Maryland Boundary Survey, many Brannock Family land holdings were found to actually be in Kent Co DE. [1775 Boundary Map] And, Thomas died before 6/1746 in Kent Co DE.
